When you insert a disk into your PC's disk drive, XP, using AutoPlay wants to do something with that disk and brings up a window where you can make choices with respect to that particular disk. You can shortcut AutoPlay by pressing and holding down the Shift key while closing the CD drawer, but you have to do that each and every time you load a disk.
